In-house job board has 24,000 candidates
The NHS’s new in-house jobsite has now been officially launched, allowing members of the public to search and apply for jobs in the health service.
Health minister John Hutton announced the launch following a successful three-month trial.
The site, which is jointly run by the e-cruiter Jobsite and IT firm Methods Consulting, will display around 500 jobs and already has 24,000 jobseekers registered. The deal to run the site lasts five years.
Hutton said: “To build on our success in increasing the numbers of key staff in the NHS, we need to make it much easier for people to find out what jobs are available. We also need to speed up recruitment so that people can access the rewarding careers that the NHS has to offer.”
