Pyschometric assessment and recruitment services provider, SHL Group, has hired its new independent non-executive director, Stephen Puckett, from recruitment giant Michael Page.

Puckett has 13 years’ experience and joined Michael Page in January 2001 as finance director. He will take up his new position immediately.

Chairman David Best, said: “I welcome Stephen to our board. He brings extensive experience as a finance director, knowledge of our sector, international experience and a broad experience of financial transactions.”

Announcing its results for the year ended 31 December 2003, SHL reported that pre-tax losses rose to £10m against £1m for the same period last year. Turnover, however, fell from £72.9m a year ago to £65.7m.
