Manchester-based engineering and transport recruitment firm Oscar Associates has launched a new division specialising in recruitment to recruitment, run by two former Phee Farrer Jones (PFJ) consultants.

Alan Martin heads the new division, Oscar Sales, as divisional sales manager, concentrating on senior-level assignments.

He is joined by his former PFJ colleague Maggie Epstein whose remit will be handling recruitment roles up to £50,000.

They are looking to hire two trainee recruitment consultants to start work with them in the new year.

The division is called Oscar Sales because the plan is to expand it into areas beyond rec-to-rec, such as IT and consumer goods, according to Oscar Associates managing director Gerry Gualtieri. He aims to double the firm’s headcount and turnover next year.
