New awards judges
Three additional judges have been selected to lend their expertise to adjudicating the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2006, supported by Thomas International.
Joining the already identified panel of 16 recruitment, HR and people development experts are: Alison Hodgson, European HR and resourcing manager at Expedia; Isabelle Hung, head of UK sourcing at Yell Group; and David Wakefield, head of practice development at Investors in People (IIP).
Before joining Expedia, Hodgson most recently worked as HR resourcing and projects director at Sodexho. She has also worked in graduate recruitment and development roles at WorldCom and at SalamonSmithBarney.
Hung recently joined Yell Group from Monster Worldwide, where she held the position of UK recruitment manager for more than two years. She also has worked in the traditional recruitment sector, and in onsite recruitment outsourcing.
Wakefield is responsible for the recruitment, selection and professional development of more than 1,500 IIP practitioners throughout the UK. One of his key challenges for the coming year is to design, develop and put into effect a framework for the practitioners’ professional development.
The awards will be presented on 30 March in a gala evening event with a celebrity host.
The deadline for entries for the 2006 awards is 4 November. An entry form is enclosed with this issue of Recruiter.
