Millionaire recruiters?

Recruiters star in TV hoax show

Two recruitment consultants have featured in a new reality series on Sky One, called the Million Pound Hoax.

Recruitment branch manager Lysha Holmes (pictured below with her husband) and IT recruitment consultant Steve Dare (inset) both appeared in the series which encouraged them to trick their family and friends into believing they have won a £2m lottery.

In order to win £5,000 for themselves and a dream holiday for their family and friends, they also had to show, over a five-day period, that the win had gone to their heads.

However, when Lysha Holmes, who went on to win the series, pretended that she’d become a lottery millionaire, she nearly lost her job, friends and her husband, who were not impressed with her prima donna behaviour.

A spokesperson for Sky One said the programme sought to discover whether friends and relatives changed their character when someone they knew reaped a windfall.
