Michael Page revenue up

Second-quarter results boost recruiter

Michael Page, the listed financial recruitment firm, has announced strong revenue increases in the second quarter of this year.

The recruiter posted revenues of £52.3m, an increase of 8.6% compared with the same period last year. Page’s US operation performed particularly well, which points to a continued and sustained recovery across the Atlantic.

The UK and Asia Pacific markets were strong but continental Europe was still lacklustre, the firm said.

Chief executive Terry Benson said: “We are extremely pleased with the continuing strong increase in our revenues.

“While trading conditions in continental Europe remain tough, there are some early signs of increased activity.

“We are encouraged with our progress in the Americas and during the first half opened new offices in Boston and Chicago.”
