Media group snaps up Jobsite

Firm to benefit from Daily Mail online launch

Associated New Media (ANM), the digital arm of the firm behind the Daily Mail, has snapped up the job-board Jobsite for £35m.

The firm is planning to launch online versions of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday later this year. Jobsite will operate as a standalone operation under the deal to cash in on the predicted growth of the online recruitment market.

But the e-cruiter is expected to benefit from its close links with ANM’s other web sites, which include femail.co.uk, This is Money and This is London.

“Exposing the Jobsite brand to millions of our readers will advance its position as the leading online recruitment solution,” said ANM’s managing director Andrew Hart.

ANM was advised by solicitors Reynolds Porter Chamberlain and Jobsite was represented by Osborne Clarke.

Jobsite is currently responsible for running the newly-launched website for NHS Professionals, the health service’s own in-house recruitment agency.
