Manpower Professional's team of four based in Derby has joined accountancy recruiter Andrew Farr Associates.

The team, managed by Sarah Stevenson, includes Esther Blunsdon and James Clark. They will work for the Select Accountancy brand throughout the Derbyshire region.

Team member Mary Maguire will work for Andrew Farr Associates servicing the East Midlands with the existing team in Nottingham.

Managing director Andy Farr said: "To bring on board a fully functioning team who were one of the most successful offices in their previous company speaks volumes for our business.

"While the team will be working different areas and clients than before, they can perform and will strengthen our service.

Manpower played down the situation last week. A spokesman told Recruiter: "It's business as usual in Derby. We have a new team in place and as a result of growing opportunities across the sector we look forward to expanding this team further, building on the business success for 2007, and continuing to provide the impressive professional service to our candidates and clients alike."
