Manpower's Eastern promise
Manpower staff enjoyed a Shanghai surprise recently when high profile HR representatives from the Chinese government visited a London branch.
The company’s Victoria office hosted over twenty delegates from the Pudong Bureau of Personnel of Shanghai, who were touring the UK to learn about HR management in government, and private sector recruitment for the public sector.
The firm’s central London branch specialises in recruiting for central government, public sector and large organisations based in the capital.
David Arkless, senior vice president of corporate affairs for Manpower, was at the branch to welcome the delegation.
He said: “Many of the delegates have HR management positions within government departments.
“The visit therefore presented an ideal opportunity for Manpower to demonstrate how a private sector organisation can work with government to deliver workforce management solutions.”
