Manpower wins £10m contract

Recruiter will be sole supplier to call centre firm

Manpower has won a £10m deal with call centre services firm HCL to provide recruitment and HR services to HCL’s operation in Northern Ireland.

Three recruitment agencies, including Manpower, used to provide for HCL’s recruitment needs. Recruiter understands that the other two agencies were the Dutch firm Randstad and a smaller local company.

Market information indicates that Manpower won the contract because it was able to undercut its rivals. Under the new agreement, Manpower will become the sole supplier from 3 May, and at this point 250 staff supplied by other agencies will transfer to either Manpower or HCL. This will bring the total of Manpower staff at the HCL centre to 700.
