Manpower revenue hits $4.7bn in fourth quarter
Manpower has reported that revenue for the fourth quarter totaled $4.7bn (£2.4bn), an increase of 16% in the three months ended December 31, 2006.
It added that net earnings in the quarter increased to $164.4m, (£84.1m) from $89.1m (£45.6m) a year earlier.
Full year net earnings were $398m (£203.5m), compared with $260.1m (£132.9m) in 2005. Revenue for the year was $17.6bn (£9.0bn), an increase of 11% from 2005.
Manpower chairman and chief executive Jeffrey A. Joerres says: "Manpower performed extremely well in the fourth quarter and for the full year. 2006 was a pivotal year for us as we executed very well to affect the present, and laid the groundwork for outstanding performance in the future. Our continued growth in Europe, emerging markets and our specialty service lines will fuel solid growth into 2007."
