Jobsite spurns NORAS

Commercial reasons behind decision

The Jobsite job-board has snubbed the NORAS online recruitment audience survey, Recruiter has learned. Jobsite, which was bought by Associated New Media earlier this year, has decided not to return to the NORAS (National Online Recruitment Audience Survey) fold for commercial reasons.

Tim Elkington, managing director of Enhance Media, the company behind the survey, said: “ Their advertisers wanted data about the number of responses that recruiters got per jobsite, but NORAS only provides data about the kind of person.” Elkington said that he was looking at ways of incorporating response data into NORAS, but was prevented from doing so by technical issues.

Felix Wetzel, Jobsite’s marketing manager, said: “Advertisers are not interested in the number of unique users a site has; they want to know how many applications an advert will attract.”
