Jobsite analyses satisfaction

Feedback tool unveiled

Online recruiter Jobsite has created a feedback system that ranks recruitment agencies according to jobseekers’ satisfaction levels.

Recruitment agencies advertising on Jobsite will receive market research based on candidates’ job-seeking experiences under the new scheme, called RecruitRank.

Candidates will evaluate agencies on a range of criteria, including how well they kept in touch and whether they found the right job.

Jobsite publishes a list of the top 10 agencies and updates the list daily, although the feedback itself is kept confidential.

Surrey-based Cranleigh Recruitment topped the list as Recruiter went to press. Partner Salley Emmett said the system had helped motivate her staff to improve their operating standards, instead of motivating them just to sell.

“Obviously, we need to make sales to survive, but customer service is at the core of our business – that goes for both candidates and clients,” she said.

“Now we are number one on the list, we have to keep the focus to stay there – we are not going to be complacent, and increase our levels of customer satisfaction.”

Recruiters will receive a confidential monthly feedback report, and Jobsite will work with them to strengthen their candidate management and brand perception.

Jobsite has already received more than 20,000 candidate responses covering more than 600 recruitment agencies.

The job board launched the scheme after its own research revealed half of UK jobseekers found finding a new job frustrating.

A common complaint was agencies neglecting to keep in regular contact with jobseekers.

“Our research found that candidates hated the job hunting process – in fact they said it was a nightmare!” said Keith Potts, managing director of Jobsite (pictured).

“Agencies are not aware of how much negative spin there is from candidates – it is very damaging.

“What we are trying to do is help agencies identify where they are strong in terms of candidate interaction and where they are not so strong.”
