The number of jobs in IT and telecommunications is increasing swiftly, with recruiters well placed to take advantage of the trend.

The latest figures from trade publication Computer Weekly show that the number of advertised posts has increased 70% compared to the same period last year. Salaries have also risen, with IT directors earning on average 6% more than last year, at around £94,740. Contractors in the sector are also earning more than ever - with some estimates placing contractor wages at 10% more than last year.
