This is according to local paper the Shelby Star, which notes that the German manufacturer is making the site its US headquarters and distribution hub for all its East Coast operations.

The paper also claims that average wages for the new job will be $40,660 plus benefits, higher than the country average of $32,760.

Schletter employs 1,800 workers worldwide, of which around 200 are in the US, the Star adds.
