The unemployment rate in South Africa has dipped under 25% to 24.9% in Q2 2012, with the number of employed people rising by 62,000.

It had previously stood at 25.2%, and the sectors creating the highest number of new jobs were community & social services and construction & mining, reports government news agency SAnews.
