Industry trio on annual rich list

Recruiters among nation's wealthiest

Three of recruitment’s big names have made it into the annual Sunday Times Rich List, which tracks Britain’s 1,000 richest individuals and families.

Phillipe Foriel-Destezet, who co-founded the world’s largest job agency Adecco, has a stake in the company worth £1.04bn. Along with other investments, this makes him the 19th richest man in Britain, worth around £1.3bn in total.

Also featuring on the list was Professor Alec Reed, who launched London-based Reed Executive in 1960. His stake of £46.6m, coupled with a £15m holding in Reed Health, placed him joint 606th.

Finally, Alexander Badenoch, founder of accountancy and legal recruiter Badenoch & Clark, came in joint 717th on the list.
