Indian employers across as many as 20 sectors are facing severe labour shortages, according to a study by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The situation is allowing workers to move jobs more often to find better opportunities. "This makes it difficult for companies to get a person to say 'yes' and go through with it," said Deepak Gupta, chief executive of Korn/Ferry India.
