
Indian IT companies operating overseas are increasingly looking to hire local staff rather than employ Indian nationals. "The trend certainly shows a maturity among the Indian IT companies. As you do a higher degree of sophisticated work, you are not just looking at technology solutions but business solutions. And then you need people to understand the context of the problem, which might be easier for a local to know," Kiran Karnik, president of Nasscom, the Indian IT industry association, told
