The listed recruitment firm Hot Group has announced another acquisition.

The company has bought Workthing Limited from Guardian Media Group plc for £6m.

This is the seventh website purchase in the last two years and will add another 500,000 users accessing hotgroup’s network of sites.

Workthing Limited is made up of an online recruitment site, www.workthing.com and PeopleBank Technology, an e-recruitment technology provider of corporate career sites.

Tony Reeves, chairman and chief executive of the group said: “The last 12 months have been exceptional for hotonline.com, the group’s online business.

“We will continue to build our businesses and make strategic acquisitions.”
