Listed recruitment firm, the Hot Group, has confirmed that it could be taken over by a mystery bidder.

The AIM-listed company confirmed that it had received an "expression of interest" which could lead to an offer being made for the entire company.

The group has restructured its business into two separate brands: hotonline.com and workthing.com.

Hotonline has been rationalised into five different sites: planetrecruit.com, jobsearch.co.uk, hotrecruit.com, jobsfinancial.com and thegraduate.co.uk.

Managing director Harvey Sinclair said: "This restructure will change the landscape of online recruitment. It not only differentiates our business but it also gives recruitment agencies and companies a clear choice when using the internet to attract candidates and will ensure their recruitment is quicker and delivers the most relevant candidates."
