Grafton heads south
Belfast-based recruiter Grafton Recruitment has bought the well-respected Dublin agency Mary B Cremin in a multi-million euro deal.
The acquisition is part of Grafton’s strategy to provide cross-border recruitment services in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
A Grafton spokeswoman said the deal was worth in the region of €5m (£3.4m). MBC's turnover in the last financial year was €9m (£6.2m).
Mary B Cremin (MBC) is one of Ireland’s best known recruitment brands and held the number one position for awareness with employers and candidates, according to a recent survey.
Grafton managing director Aine Maria Mizzoni said: “Since its foundation in 1981, MBC has grown to become a leading supplier of support and administration staff in virtually every sector of the Irish economy.
“This position of strength makes it an excellent addition to the Grafton portfolio as we seek to strengthen our position as the leading all-island employment solution company.”
