Nearly a third of graduates are bored with their jobs and a quarter are considering switching careers.

The Teacher Training Agency found that 60% of graduates were unable to use their degree fully at work.

Maths graduates were particularly unhappy with 86% claiming they did not use their degree skills.

One in five graduates was disillusioned and half of those aged under 35 complained they had fallen into their jobs.

The government wants half of all people under the age of 30 to go through higher education by 2010.
