The pharmaceutical recruitment company RSA Consulting has opened a new office in Germany.

Based in Frankfurt, the office will be run by Robert Bates, who already has experience of pharmaceutical recruitment in Germany and joins from Euromedica GmbH.

Despite the continued problems of high unemployment in Germany, it still has the largest pharmaceutical market in Europe. Key companies continue to invest in the region of €1.3bn in Germany and seven research and development-based drugs firms have headquarters there.

RSA also plans to launch its RSA Interims and RSA Pharmarecruit brands in Germany. The company’s managing director Nick Stephens said: “We have made this strategic investment at a time of significant chance in the German pharmaceutical environment.”

The company, already one of the largest pharmaceutical recruitment firms in Europe, will provide support from its Hertfordshire base.
