First Recruitment Services, which went through a management buy-out last year, has reported a 16% in turnover to £7.1m in 2006.

Pre-tax profit rose 111% to £417,000 it says.

Managing director Andrew Kaltz said: “2006 was an absolutely fantastic year in terms of growth and profitability. Following the MBO, we were in an extremely strong position financially and increased sales and client acquisition has led to a further substantial leap forward.

“The first quarter of 2007 is set to be another record breaker. We have a terrific team at Head Office and throughout the branches who will continue to benefit from our further growth and success.”
