Women still short-changed in salaries
Women working full time are earning on average nearly 20% less than men doing the equivalent job, according to new research.
The Fawcett Society, a gender equality lobby group, has said that women’s employment was concentrated in caring, cleaning, catering and cash registers.
The society’s research also claims that just 13% of women pensioners are currently entitled to the full basic state pension, compared with 92% of men.
