Pertemps likes to do its bit for the community. It is a partner in a scheme that has helped 15 unemployed women in the Birmingham area become qualified football coaches. The scheme is also supported by Agender — a European Social Fund programme, which aims to break down gender barriers and promote non-traditional gender roles in employment. So now these women will become adept at screaming abuse at players and kicking football boots at them, à la Alex Ferguson. Hard to believe a recruitment firm could support a venture like this.
