Friends Reunited has admitted that it is reviewing the future of its jobs website, but says it has not taken any decision on closing it.

In a statement the company said: "We are currently reviewing the strategic options for the business going forward and have notified staff of this. No decisions have been made as we undergo a period of consultation."

Industry insiders believe that the job board's employees are all looking for new jobs and that its parent ITV has agreed a deal with Monster to run the site, although Monster told Recruiter that there was no substance to the rumour.
