Father’s Day for O’Donoghue

In this age of equality, it seems that even organisations supporting women in business recognise the role of some men at work.

Mumpreneur UK has just closed its 2012 Awards nominations. More than 1,200 small business owners who also happen to be mums entered the various categories, but there is also one for ‘Best Dadpreneur’.

And who should we see as one of the finalists in this category? None other than the recruitment industry’s founder of the Independent Recruiting Group (IRG), Sean O’Donoghue, who no doubt has been picked for starting up the IRG community, while at the same time juggling fatherhood.

The 2012 Mumpreneur Awards will take place at the fourth annual Mumpreneur Conference on 30 September at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire. We wish Sean all the best at the event. Let’s hope his offspring give him a good night’s sleep post the Awards night – especially if he wins…

Judging may already have taken place, but we still don’t know O’Donoghue’s fate – mum’s the word, after all.

  • If anyone deserves this you do! 3 little boys, your own recruitment agency and growing the Independent Recruiting Group for the good of our industry at the same time. All the best Sean!

James Ranson, 31 Aug 2012, 13:18:

  • What Sean has managed to achieve in a short space of time with extremely limited funds has been nothing short of spectacular. His ability to surround himself with like minded individuals has been one of the key factors in the continued success of The IRG. I wish Sean the very best of luck. Between the IRG, his own recruitment activities and family life I think he's doing a sterling job.
