Double deal for Hot Group

Two more companies bought for £10m

The listed recruitment firm Hot Group continues to splash the cash and has bought another two companies for nearly £10m.

Hot Group, which started life as an e-cruiter, has continued its strategy of branching out into traditional recruitment, with the acquisition of the education agency Mark Education and the Audio Secretaries Agency (ASA).

The company raised a further £10m from the stock market to finance the deal and plans yet more acquisitions in the future.

Mark Education has clients in schools across in England, while ASA supplies contract, temporary and permanent personnel to niche markets including education, legal, and the pharmaceutical trade.

Commenting on the deals, Hot Group chairman and CEO Tony Reeves (pictured) said: “These recent acquisitions fit well with our existing operations and will enable us to increase the critical mass of our recruitment consultancy business. We are confident that, by growing the business as we are, we will deliver long-term value through improved operation performance and careful management.”
