Dazzling Donna Williams has been taking time out from her job in accounts at recruiter BCL International to compete in the Miss England beauty competition.

Donna, 22, won her regional event, Miss Merseyside, and will now compete in the national final.

Donna told Recruiter: “It has come as a real shock, I did not expect to win Miss Merseyside. I don’t see anything wrong with beauty contests, after all you can have male beauty contests too!”

The two day event, will include a talent and beauty show and will take place at the Liverpool Olympia on 2-3 September.

The winner of the event will win a visit to China and will compete for the accolade of Miss World.

Event organisers are asking members of the public to vote for their favourite contestant, who will be fast tracked to the last 12 of the contest.

The public vote also counts as one judge on a panel of nine, which decides the winner of the overall Miss England accolade.

As well as wooing the judges with her ravishing looks, Donna will also demonstrate her sugarcraft talents, which she discovered in a previous job in a cake shop.
