Associated New Media, owner of femail.co.uk, This Is Money and This Is London, has bought the online recruiter Jobsite for £35m.

The buyer is part of the Daily Mail and General Trust and the move coincides with its planned launch of online versions of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday later this year.

Jobsite was launched in 1995 and will continue to operate as a separate entity and cash in on the predicted increase in the online recruitment market.

Based in Havant, Sussex, Jobsite attracts more than 1.6m unique visits each month and has more than 80 employees.
