Nexus People unveils provocative ad

Recruitment to recruitment firm Nexus People Recruitment hopes to stir up debate about standards in recruitment with the launch of its new marketing campaign.

A press statement from the firm described its marketing drive as “a controversial campaign which plays on the recruitment industry’s unscrupulous reputation”.

The ads describe what Nexus People calls ‘standard recruitment procedure’, such as the kind of brush-offs poor quality consultants give to their candidates.

The strapline – which is designed to promote the Birmingham-based recruitment firm’s expansion into Manchester and Bristol – is: “For an entirely non-standard approach to recruitment, contact Nexus.”

“We are not trying to reinforce myths; we are trying to highlight some very real issues and are tapping into the dissatisfaction which many people experience when dealing with our industry,” said Nexus People managing director Nathan Annington.
