IT contractors are fed up with the sub-standard services offered by IT recruitment agencies, according to a poll of 1,200 contractors by the IT recruitment company Volt Europe.

Contractors wanted consultants to keep them better informed of their job hunting progress and to be frank with them about their opportunities and rates.

Kevin Thorn, sales director of Volt Europe, said: “Failing to make contact with contractors, after having promised to do so, and not reading CVs thoroughly are really not acceptable.”
