Great time to make the marketing calls to clients. We get a receptionist placed by 10 am - client is delighted and the atmosphere in the office is buzzing. Today is also an excellent opportunity to check in with our temps and see how they’re getting on. This is vital to make sure both they and the client are happy, and also provides a great way to catch up with the latest gossip!

Tuesday

Spent the afternoon making calls to clients and pitching in candidates who were registered this morning. The calibre of candidates is fantastic, so really confident they’ll be placed in no time at all. As well as doing the rounds of marketing calls, touched base with our clients to make sure they were happy with candidates and pre-empt any possible areas where additional staff might be needed. Evening spent having dinner and drinks on a client business seminar – lovely food and lots of networking to gain potential clients!

Wednesday

Placed two new recruits this morning which was a great start to the day! Mid-week is perfect for client service calls and visits to get feedback on candidates. Team lunch to catch up and congratulate on progress made so far. One of our clients is a leading UK train operator, so spent the afternoon visiting the stations to see how all of our candidates are getting on. Love catching up to see how they’re all doing. Really satisfying when you can see all the hard work has paid off!

Thursday

Today is when we have our team catch-up and go through our weekly profit margin analysis. Great news - we’re hitting our targets and across the team everyone is doing really well! Everyone is on a high and we’re already discussing where we’ll go to celebrate! Treat myself to a spot of retail therapy – a girl needs a spot of pampering every now and then! Rest of the afternoon spent catching up on admin and keeping payslips and all our databases up to date. It’s a quieter time in the office but integral in ensuring everything is kept in order. Like they say, timesheets wait for no man!

Saved the best till last! Bookings are flying in and the calls are coming in thick and fast. We often get calls from clients on a Friday afternoon looking for someone to start on Monday morning so it’s pretty manic, but love the energy going round the office! Touch base with our temps and make sure they’re OK. I really work hard to keep the working relationship strong with all our temps. End the day on a high and looking forward to drinks with everyone to celebrate a successful week!
