The G4S recruitment crisis at the London 2012 Olympic Games has not dampened the prospects for outsourcing projects in the public sector, according to the chief executive of the Carillion construction and support services group.

In revealing the company’s six-month results to 30 June, Richard Howson said that the public sector opportunities continue to grow from customers including the Ministry of Defence and local authorities. Howson’s remarks were quoted in the Financial Times and The Guardian.
