Begin sharpening your pencil: the call for entries for the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2007, supported by Thomas International, will be issued next month.

This year, a 21-judge panel headed by Brian Wilkinson of Vedior's Board of Management, will adjudicate all but one of the 19 Award categories. (See "Presenting the panel" on p26.)

Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke says: "I am delighted with the superb quality of the judges, who have so kindly agreed to participate this year. Each will bring the utmost professionalism and significant expertise to the panel."

There is one category that the judges identified in this issue will not adjudicate, however. This is Best Recruitment-to-Recruitment Firm. "Because of the unique service rec-to-rec firms provide, we believe that a different approach is in order to judge this category," says Doke.

Recruiter will reveal details of this change, along with the measures being taken to streamline the entry procedures for all of the 2007 Awards, in a future issue.

The 2007 Awards gala will be held on 27 March 2007 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
