Empresaria Group, a holding firm that funds and manages businesses in the recruitment sector, has reported increased revenue and profits for the financial year to 31 December 2003.

Turnover rose 28%, from £22.9m for 2002 to £29.4m. Profits before tax increased by 34% over the same period to £1.2m. Basic earnings per share rose 76% year-on -year.

Empresaria owns 17 recruitment brands, including the recruitment to recruitment firm McCall, driver recruitment agency DriveLink and public sector recruiters Social Work Associates and Healthcare First.

Its most recent acquisition is FastTrack Management Services, which provides contract recruitment services to the construction industry in Watford and Blackburn.
