More client companies are realising that to promote a healthy external image, they need to be strong internally.

That's the view of Ros Kindersley, managing director of marketing and communications recruiter JFL Search and Selection.

Kindersley contends that companies are becoming more aware of their self-image, particularly in sectors such as retail banking, which traditionally has a poor public image.

"All companies are realising that to promote themselves externally they need to promote themselves internally," Kindersley told Recruiter.

She added that clients were not just looking for candidates who had particular skill-sets, but also those who had some aptitude for how the company operated.
