Bad debt hits Northern
30 August 2012
But firm is upbeat for second half
Northern Recruitment Group saw first-half revenue rise, but profits fall.
The Newcastle-based firm¹s turnover for the six months to December was £11.2m, up from £9.3m a year earlier. Pre-tax profit fell to £1m, from £1.4m, largely due to a bad debt provision of £0.14m.
The Company said its permanent recruitment operations made solid progress, offset by an expected reduction in high volume project work at NRG Connect, its national response handling unit.
The company said: "Our core permanent and temporary recruitment businesses have both continued to make progress in the first month of the second half of the year."
