Agency driver jailed after crash

Onlink recruitment agency supplied driver with inadequate licence

A minibus driver supplied by Onlink, a recruitment agency, had been driving 15 hours a day when his vehicle crashed killing two people, a court heard.

Nichhatar Singh, who was transporting migrant workers from Hayes, Middlesex, to a farm in South Lincolnshire, did not hold an adequate licence and was uninsured when he crashed in October last year.

Singh was jailed for five years after admitting two charges of causing death by dangerous driving.

Onlink had ceased trading shortly after the fatal crash but is believed to have recently re-opened for business.
