Five recruitment firms have made it into the Sunday Times Fast Track 100, which lists the fastest-growing private companies in the UK.

ADR Resources, the winner of our Gold Award at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2004, made it to 40th position in the table. Between 2000 and 2003 the firm achieved a growth rate of 96%, thanks to consistent business from blue-chip companies including supermarket chain Sainsbury’s.

Veritas IT, based in Milton Keynes, was the highest ranking recruitment firm in the Fast Track 100, in 31st position. Jason Giller, director of Veritas IT, put the firm’s success down to repeat business from clients such as Argos and Abbey, its investment in IT infrastructure and sheer hard work: “The past couple of years have been tough. But the business is out there, you just have to work a bit harder to get it.” Another technology recruiter, IT Human Resources, ranked 92nd on the list.

Nursing agency Ambition24hours Recruitment made the list for the third time. The company increased its sales by 72%, from £11.6m in 2000 to £59m in 2003.

Construction recruiter Beaver Management Services ranked 67th, after recording annual sales growth of almost 79%.
