Microsoft Word jobs was the fastest growing job category in Q2 2012 among 190,000 digital jobs posted on outsourcing marketplace Freelancer.co.uk.

The number of jobs of this type more than doubled from 728 to 1,594 between Q1 and Q2, while other categories experiencing growth of over a third were web scraping (60%), Objective C (59%), user interface/IA (42%) and mobile phone (36%).

At 30% and 26% respectively, the next highest climbs in job demand came in jobs relating to Apple products, iPhone and iPad.

This correlates with reports from a recent breakfast briefing event from jobsite CW Jobs, where a doubling over the next year of the current 40,000 UK jobs already connected with mobile technology was predicted, as reported by recruiter.co.uk.
