Fabric producer Lenzing will employ 110 in a new factory to manufacture its specialist Tencel fibre in the town of Lenzing, Upper Austria, where the firm opened its first factory.

The company is investing €130m (£105m) into the new facility.Alongside the skilled local workforce, the ability to save money by generating its own electricity and power from its pre-existing facilities in the town was key to the choice of Lenzing as a location, the company notes.

In 2011, it had sales of €21.4bn and 6,600 staff.
