Support services firm May Gurney has appointed David Billingham to the newly-created role of group human resources director.

He joins from outsourcing firm Serco where he was HR director for the local government and commercial business.Billingham will report to chief executive Philip Fellowes-Prynne, who says that the company can “look forward to working with David to develop, retain and recruit more great people who can help us deliver our ambitious growth plans”.

The company has 6,100 staff in the UK.
