Digital recruitment organisation, Incite People, has announced the appointment of Andrew Swift as chief executive.

Swift will work closely with founder Oliver Turnbull to develop the group’s businesses both in the UK and particularly in India, where the company sees opportunities for growth.Incite People already employs 20 staff in its office in Nagpur, India. Six are front-line recruitment and 14 are web developers and marketing staff supporting the London operation.

However, under its expansion plans the company’s recruitment operations in India will focus on the digital/online/mobile markets both in India itself and in the Gulf States.

Incite People sees the digital market in India and the Gulf States as ripe for expansion. Both online and mobile are growing at an even faster pace than in the West, though from a lower base.

Another positive factor is that UK companies are now expanding into the market, as are UK digital agencies. India also produces 2,500 web developer graduates every six months – more than the whole of the UK each year, which the company says is a very attractive proposition.

Turnbull says: “Andrew’s experience in growing a recruitment business in the UK and internationally will be invaluable in helping us achieve our objectives in the UK and in India.”

Swift was previously managing director of Pricejamieson, a marketing recruitment business which he launched in 1982, and sold in 2007. He was most recently a non-executive director of Incite People until his appointment as CEO.
