Research from headhunters Stanton Chase for news service Emirates247.com reveals the highest paying jobs in the region – with head general counsel at a legal firm at number one, earning on average US$330k (£206k).

Senior figures at accountants and auditing firms, architects practices, banking companies and media firms also see the highest remuneration, with IT professionals and HR managers also on the list.
