Government body the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has opened up applications for 10,793 roles in over 100 departments across a variety of public institutions.

The TNPSC is responsible for standards and regulation across the Indian Civil Service, and is inviting applicants via its newly redesigned website.

According to newspaper The Hindu, this is the largest recruitment drive in 30 years in the public sector in India.

It also notes that the website is attracting an average of 13,000 visitors a day.
