Auto maker Toyota is set to create 300 new jobs at its Gibson County, Indiana plant, reports state paper The Daily Republican Register.

Auto maker Toyota is set to create 300 new jobs at its Gibson County, Indiana plant, reports state paper The Daily Republican Register.

The firm is investing more than $400m (£254m) in SUV production, which will increase by 50,000 vehicle per annum to 180,000.
Hiring for the roles will begin in late summer this year and production early in 2013, through Aerotek Staffing Agency which also provides a flexible workforce for the plant, according to the paper.

Gibson County Economic Development Corporation’s chief executive tells the Register that the body offered around $3.8m in tax incentives to Toyota, in addition to $2.7m from the equivalent state-wide body, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
