Andrew Bracey has been appointed chief financial officer (CFO) by recruiter Michael Page International.

Bracey will take up his role, which puts him on the company’s board as an executive director, on 23 April, leaving his present role of CFO at online food retailer Ocado.Bracey’s professional background is in private equity and investment banking, where he had 18 years’ experience with companies including Credit Suisse and Barclays.

He takes the role from current incumbent Stephen Puckett, who announced in July last year that he would be leaving once a successor had been found.

The appointment was aided by external executive search consultants.

Steve Ingham, chief executive of Michael Page, says: “We are delighted that Andrew is joining Michael Page. Our objective is to continue to deliver long-term growth to shareholders and Andrew’s appointment as CFO reflects the need for Michael Page to operate with continued financial discipline throughout the group.

“Today’s announcement marks the culmination of a comprehensive process to ensure continued excellent leadership of Michael Page.”
